KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF)
afternoon Thursday opened machinegun fire on Palestinians’ cultivated
lands on the outskirts of Khan Younis, south of Gaza, with no reported
injuries.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli soldiers at a military post on the southeastern Gaza borders fired flares amid intensive gunfire at agricultural fields, causing damage to some crops.
The shooting incident was not the first Israeli violation of the Cairo-brokered ceasefire deal with Hamas on August 26. The Israeli army had opened fire several times at citizens and their property along the border with Gaza and also attacked fishermen.
