Gaza - A
number of Israeli tanks and bulldozers crossed on Thursday morning the
Khan Younis eastern borders in the southern Gaza Strip in a limited way.
Local
media reported that several bulldozers came out of the Abu Rida gate
east of the town of Khuza'a and pushed into the agricultural lands of
citizens, moving along the border.
Witnesses said the Israeli occupation forces are razing near Erez (Beit Hanoun) crossing in the northern Gaza Strip.
Israeli
warplanes including F16s, Apache helicopters, and drones have been
frequently flying the Gaza skies for the past few days.
This
comes in the context of tightened Israeli, Egyptian border restrictions
with the Egyptian military reported to have destroyed more than 90% of
the tunnels along the border with Gaza, citing security concerns.
The
campaign against tunnels put the Gaza Strip at a tipping crisis point
as the entry of fuel, building materials, food stuffs among others used
to come from Egypt has not been possible.
