At approximately 11:30 am on Sunday 11 August 2013, Israeli Occupation
Forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinian farmers who were about 400
meters away from the separation fence between Gaza Strip and Israel east
of Al Sheja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza city. As a result, Hamada
Samir Jendiya, 21, was injured. In his affidavit to Al Mezan, Hamada
stated: “I went to work at my uncle’s land along with three other
farmers. Ten minutes later, I heard firing and felt pain in my left leg
and fall on the ground. I was fainted and when I woke up I found myself
in Shifa hospital. I received medical treatment and left the hospital at
6:00 pm on the same day.”
